Well in these Ostend restaurants you take away a plate not the food. The 3rd Ostend "Dinner with Art" has kicked off. You have until 22 March 2009 to build up your plate collection in this cultural and culinary delight. There are twelve plates to collect, each designed by an internationally acclaimed artist.

You'll be relieved to hear that your decorative plate is presented to you after your meal, you don't have to take away your used plate. The four course meal, including the decorative plate costs around 100 euros. There's also the option of a dine and stay package with choice of fifteen hotels.

Ostend is Belgium's premier beach resort on the North Sea Coast and it's easy to reach by ferry from the UK by Eurostar train or ferry. The city hosts many other events such as World Tai Chi Day this Saturday 26 April 2008 and the Lotto International Kite Weekend 10 - 11 May 2008.
