Camp World Cup!

It's not the £1,000 a night five star hotel Haunt of the England team's footballers wives, but its certainly good for a kip. While the infamous Mrs Beckham and her cohorts are bunking up at Brenner's Park Hotel in Germany's Baden-Baden, 3,952 football fans are laying their heads down at the Westfalenhallen complex in Dortmund.

The BBC has an extensive report on the complex, a trade fare grounds converted especially to house the thousands of fans descending on Germany for World Cup madness.

In addition to the nearly 4.000 beds in two single sex, bunk bed dorms, the purpose refitted complex also boasts the addition of 2,500 lockers, an internet cafe and 120 showers, two large screen tellies and an on-site disco.

The camp even has its own "beach bar" outside – complete with sand and potted palms – and the 30 euro-a-night (£20, $38) charge for short stays includes free public transport within the region.

The combination of booze and football has resulted in surprisingly little strife among the 4,000 guests from 40 countries, even from competing teams.
