Cheung Chau Island

It's nice staying in Hong Kong. Sky scrapers, best shopping areas (high-end and bargain) and lots of people. If you're not the type who likes to stay in the city day-in and day-out especially on your vacation, then try out the Tung Wan Beach at the Cheung Chau Island in Hongkong.

Cheung Chau Island is a 30 minute ferry ride away from the Hong Kong Island. This dumb-bell shaped island has an area 2.5 km^2, where the settlement is concentrated in between the hills located at the northern and southern end.

Apart from the Tung Wa and Kwun Yam Wan beaches, travelers can also visit temples such as the Pak Tai, Tin Hau and the Kwan Kung Chung Yi Ting. You can also get affordable accommodations at the Cheung Chau Bed and Breakfast where room rates start at HKD 390.
