Choosing a Hotel in Paris

Choosing a Hotel in Paris
After checking out what New York has to offer, we will now check out hotels located all over Paris.

When it comes to romantic places, Paris always tops the list. If becoming Romeo or Julietlinks is your main reason for being in the city of lovers, choosing a hotel with a romantic feel is the next logical step. There are many, I am sure.

To be on the safe side, why not choose one of the hotels which made it to Kelby Carr's Top 10 Romantic Paris Hotel list. That should help notch up the romance even more.

Now... if you'd rather choose a hotel based on its location -- or you just need to know what is near which landmark before you book over at Priceline, then you might want to check out the following guidelines to find out which Parisian neighborhood is for you.

1st arrondissement - This is the center of Paris. It's near the Louvre and Palais Royal.

3rd arrondissement - This is perfect for those who wants to stay in a neighborhood that is not bustling with tourists.

4th arrondissement - If you're planning to hang out at trendy bars every night and would rather spare yourself the cost of taking a taxi or the crowd in buses (the Metro closes way too early, imo), this neighborhood is where you should stay.

5th arrondissement - is the district where the famous Latin Quarters is located. It's where the students are.

7th arrondissement - wealthy neighborhood. It will put you near the Eiffel Tower, Ecoloe Militaire, Hotel des Invalides, Musee d' Orsay and the Dome Church.

8th arrondissement - the area around Champs Elysees. It's where the shopping and tourists all are.

9th arrondissement - It will put you near the Opera, the Red Light district and Moulin Rouge.

16th arrondissement - if you have money to burn, here's where you can do so. Hotel Alexander is a beaut, imo.

17th arrondissement - where Arc de Triomphe is. I find the area going to the other direction as Champs Elysee very quite but still near where the action is.

18th arrondissement
- Montmarte. Perfect for the artsy type.

Choices, choices, choices... so, where will you stay?
