Classic American Vacation...Anyone?

© Colin Gregory PalmerAmericans do love to travel, that's a known fact. One of the most important weekend for travel in the United States is the 4th of July weekend.
For travel ideas, here are the classic American vacation:
1. Taking a road trip
One good thing about the U.S is it's wide and spacious highways so that inter-state road trips are really fun to do. Like we see in the movies, American families do have great fun going on road trips. The getting there is even more exciting than the destination itself.
2. Hiking to the mountains
Going to the great outdoor is something that is well-loved the world over. With the many National Parks in the U.S., hiking and camping trips with the family is a favorite past-time that Americans do especially during the summer season. There's no better way that no inhale the pine-scented air in the mountains. You will never run out of activities to do: camping hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, etc.
3. Heading to the beach
Who doesn't love the beach, right? Almost everyone does. Beaches in New York, Florida, California, Hawaii and North Carolina are just some of the favorite beach destinations in the United States.
4. Relaxing on a lake
If the beach isn't your kind of thing, maybe you'll find a lake more relaxing. In Missouri, Lake of the Ozarks is a family favorite. Here you can go boating, swimming, fishing, do various watersports and other kid-friendly activities.
5. Visiting a National Park
The United States has 392 national parks. With any of one of these, there are many historical and natural wonders to discover. It's perfect for a family adventure.

SALKANTAY: The mountains of the Cordillera Vilcabamba rise to form a ragged chain between the regions' two great rivers; Urubamba and Apurimac. Along the cordillera's northern side, massive snow peaks collide with lush tropical rain forests.

Mexico City has a long illustrious past that stretches all the way back to the time when the city was known as Tenochtitlan and was the center of the Aztec Empire. In the 18th century, Mexico City was called the City of Palaces, by Humboldt, a name which still fits today because of all the Aztec ruins, the great temple, buildings from colonial times and modern towering skyscrapers. All of these different aspects combine to make Mexico City one of the most unique places to visit or live in the world.

I'm currently down in the Orlando-area of Florida, so I'm a little land-locked, but there is an abundance of lakes around! Thing about lakes is, where there are lakes, there are alligators! I'm not a big reptile fan:) But Orlando is also a "classic American vacation" with Disney World right here.
Classic vacation to me is not waiting on ride lines with Mickey ears (although those hats ARE adorable!). To me, classic vacation is sitting on a perfect beach somewhere.
If you're thinking is like mine, here are some beach vacation stops you can check out (the photos make a trip so much more tempting!)-
