The Love Boat type of cruising is definitely passé. Nowadays, cruise lines have tons of other things to entertain travelers. And I am not talking about ballroom dancing.
So, Norwegian Cruise Line has Nintendo Wii equipped ships which may help lure the younger set to go cruising with their parents. But, did you know that some cruise lines have all sorts of activities which could also make cruising more attractive to both parents and their kids?
Cruise lines organize programs and have facilities that are age-specific. So, you need not worry about your teener getting bored with activities that are meant for toddlers. As an example… for teenagers, they have discos and slumber parties. For kiddies, they have mini-theme-parks and game rooms, among others. See what I mean?
As for the adults, you need not worry about not being able to do anything because you need to watch out for your kids. In addition to having activities which your kids can enjoy supervised by one of the ship's staff, some cruise lines also have trained staff who can babysit your kids.
With all of the above, your only problem would be where you and your family would like to go.

Certainly on board vacations are pleasant ways to relax with an extraordinary array of activities for every bent, however the past couple of years here in the States, local cruise lines are having a hard time convincing vacationers to overlook the number of incidents in the news concerning becoming sick onboard, the notoriety of rapes and even deaths occurring on the watch of certain cruise lines with American port of calls. In our capacity as one of our area’s news media outlets at http://www.orlandofloridaonline.net we try to assure our local readers that these incidents are not the norm, however it is important to not completely let your guard down just because you are on vacation whether on land or the high seas. Our personal experiences have fortunately been wonderful, we hope yours are too. Just use common sense about your belongings, your health and your life, so you return home safe!

The purpose of the trip must be having fun because the last thing you want is to come home so exhausted that you need a vacation from your (expensive) vacation to Europe. Besides, anyone who has ever orchestrated a family sightseeing trip, whether here or abroad, knows that there’s just so much culture kids can take in one day, especially when it’s hot and crowded. (“Not another cathedral! Let’s go swimming!”)
