In a quiet village by the sea, a murder will soon be taking place.
With the whole town of Langley on Whidbey Island as its stage, with every local dressed in character and dressed in imaginative costumes, you can look for clues, investigate the crime scene and unravel the murder mystery.
Isn't that an interesting way to spend your last weekend in February?
Langley is actually a writer's enclave ("so that's why…" popped into my head when I read about this tidbit) and local writers brainstorm together to write the murder mystery. For February 2007, they have written "Death by Chocolate" since the chocolate industry (chocolate shop, gift shop, manufacturer) is booming, they have enough to go by for the course of the two-day whodunnit event.
WHEN: 23-24 February 2007
WHERE: Langley on Whidbey Island, 40 minutes north of Seattle
"Playing this living Clue game is easy, simply pay the $5 fee at the Visitor Information Center (208 Anthes Street) where participants receive a special edition of the Langley Gazette with stories about the crime, photos of the suspects that are scattered throughout this two block village, a map showing the crime scene and locations where clues can be found."
Where to Stay? Take your pick. There's choices galore since Langley has the "highest density of Country Inns, B&Bs, and Guest Cottages in the state".
