There are also Editor's Picks, a forum and city guides. You can sort search results by location, price or user ratings. When you ask to see the search results on a map, the pegs denoting each establishment are colour coded by price.
However I think that the bands are too wide, either under S50 a night or over $50 a night. I wouldn't expect to pay as much as $50 a night for a room in a hostel dorm. I'd like to see the lowest band at around $30 a night.
With the fall of the US dollar, declining disposable incomes and rising airline fares more travellers coming to Europe are looking to save money by staying at cheaper accommodation. You never quite know what to expect from hostels as they can vary from grotty and nasty to comfortable and trendy. Therefore it's good to have as much information as possible, from sources such as professional recommendations coupled with user generated reviews, before booking a a hostel.

I hope that the venture goes well for you and think it will be better if you add smaller increments to the price coding.
