You can see five different species of penguins, King, Gentoo, Rockhopper, Magellanic and Macaroni. You can watch the Rockhoppers taking a shower in the fresh water to wash the salt from their coats. Late January is the best time to spot the chick nurseries. If you lie quietly on the beach the chances are that the a few curious Gentoos will come to investigate.
There's also a large population of Black Browed Albatross. You can also spot killer whales and elephant seals. The Falklands are said to have the best sea trout fishing in the world.
