Appropos Mobile announced the release of the new app in a press statement.
"Ever since releasing FlightTrack, travelers have asked us for an easy way to manage flight itineraries," said Ben Kazez, founder, Appropos Mobile. "Our partnership with TripIt enables travelers to track all their flights, without re-entering their flight details."TechCrunch said the new app "essentially saves you from having to remember flight numbers by giving you a list of the itineraries you have already emailed to TripIt."
FlightTrack Pro's seamless itinerary synchronization is powered by the TripIt API, which is the travel industry's first open API (Application Programming Interface) for sharing travel itinerary information among travel websites, travel suppliers, travel agents and related travel services.
"We've had interest from the developer community ever since we launched TripIt." commented Scott Hintz, co-founder and VP Business Development at TripIt. "So we're excited to see the most popular iPhone flight tracker already using the TripIt API to make it easy for travelers to bring their itineraries to life."
