The new Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto will offer free admission for three days from the 14 – 16 November 2008, as part of the re-opening celebrations. The expansion and renovation of the Gallery will have taken 6 years to complete from inception.
The new art gallery has been designed by the renowned architect Frank Gehry, famous for projects such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. Gehry was born in Ontario but this is his first project in his native country.
The new Gallery will display 400 works of art across 110 galleries. So if you live in the area or will be visiting Toronto in mid November this is your chance for a great free day enjoying the wonderful new building and all the exhibits.
