Laura Porter over at About's UK Travel site has a great list of things to do in London for free.
Naturally art galleries, museums and parks are at the top of her list. She mentions by name - nine art galleries alone. Then there's all the stuff you just have to do at least once if you get to London: watching the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, visit Westminster Abbey, take a walk around Trafalgar Square...
At the bottom of her list was an item I though was especially interesting: place to find free live music. Did you know there was such a thing as Free Monday lunchtime recitals at the Royal Opera House? I didn't.
