Peking Duck (also known as Beijing Roast Duck) -- for those who are not aware -- is a famous duck dish from the northeastern part of China. It's roasted duck (duh!) loved by many because of its thin, crispy skin.
You can definitely order one in most Chinese restaurants found all over the world. But, for the epicurean, Beijing is your best bet. Combine sightseeing with sampling China's culinary delights.
During the day, travel around Beijing Province. Visit historical Tianamen Square, the Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City. Of course, a trip to China would not be complete without a visit to one of the greatest wonders of the World, the Great Wall of China.
Of course, the best way to end your day of vagabonding is to sample the very best of what Beijing has to offer. And the best Peking Duck in Beijing (which means, it's the best in the world!) can be had at the original, centuries old Qianmen Quan Ju De Restaurant.
Quan Jude De (Roast Duck) Restaurant is located at 32 Qianmen Dajie in Beijing. Peking ducks are roasted over an open fire, which can be seen through the glass wall from the dining area.
