Getting Married Abroad

Then, getting married abroad may also be best for you and your partner.
Now the questions are... where oh where would you want to get married? What kind of ceremony would you want? What are the legal requirements? Would you be inviting your friends and family? If so, where would you all stay?
The Times has a few suggestions which are, imho, worth considering:
Las Vegas. That is, if a quickie wedding with elvis
fits your taste. You only need to be there for three days in order to get a permit to get married there. Check with Virgin Holidays for more details. Venice. For a romantic getaway... and you do not even have to leave the continent. 2 days and a translator is all you need to be married there. Cosmos Holidays has the lowdown.
Lapland. The northern lights could be your backdrop. You can meet Santa Claus on your first day and the next day, you could get married. Where else would you book but with Lapland Weddings.
Mauritius. 3 days should be enough for you to get that perfect tan (none of that lobster red look) before you face the altar with the heavenly beach and the romantic sunset as your backdrop. Check Beach Comber Tours for the details.
