If you're considering travelling abroad for cheaper health treatment a visit to the Health Tourism Show at London Olympia could be a useful fact finding expedition. It's a big decision to make so you want to be able to make an informed choice. Various seminars will be held during the event on topics such as weight loss surgery, dental treatment, hair transplants and cosmetic surgery where the audience can ask the presenters questions.
Sometimes the added bonus of having a holiday at the same time is touted but I suppose that rather depends on what sort of treatment you'll be having. I can't imagine I'd feel like sightseeing or gourmet dining after a few sessions in the dentist's chair with a numb mouth for hours afterward.
I think I'd be too nervous about undertaking treatment abroad, especially in respect of after care treatment if I had a problem. Is it something you have done or would consider?
