Historic Scotland

, one of the four constituent countries of the UK, next weekend is the perfect time to do so. As Karen of Europe A La Carte has pointed out, Historic Scotland is offering free entry to its sites on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 April 2007.
The free weekend means that you can go to as many Historic Scotland's wonderful castles, palaces and abbeys as you like.
Historic sites are open from 9:30am until 5:30pm, with last admissions at 5pm.
You can definitely expect many to flock towards Edinburgh Castle. Sure, it's a must but if you are not ready to endure looooong lines, you may want to consider lesser-known (but equally important) sites.
Or, you can just peek under some man's tartan skirt to see for yourself whether they do wear underwear with their skirts or not. hehe
