There's nothing like an island. That's especially true if the island is in a warm climate.
I've lost track of the number of islands I've visited. They tell me Australia is too big to county. But I've been to the North Island of New Zealand. There were eight or ten in Micronesia: Guam, Saipan, Tinian, Truk, Ponape, Majaro, Arno, Nukuoro, and (my favorite) Kapingamarangi. I should mention Singapore and Java. And of course there are a few in the Caribbean that I've visited – like Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.
Two places still on my list, I need to get to the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. Hotels in Canary Islands are supposed to be some of the best in Europe. But I hear that Ibiza is the hidden treasure of the Mediterranean. Hotels in Ibiza are also pretty good.
A beach would be really good now – especially if it was on a warm island.

I visited Tenerife once and had a great time there. There is nothing but an Island!
