The highlight of the event is the Lantern Parade on Sunday 4 May from 7pm until 9.30pm with over 100,000 lanterns on display from Jongno street to the Jogyesa Temple.
There's even a Lotus Lantern Making Festival for Foreigners on the 4 May which starts at 1.20pm. Two hundred applicants will be able to make their own lanterns and there's a special prize for the winning lantern creator. There a lot more than lantern making with instruction in Sutra wood block rubbing, composition of wish notes and preparation and tasting of temple food.
It all sounds great fun. Have your ever attended the Lantern Festival?
