There will be a wide array of free events taking place along the River Thames in London between Westminster and Tower Bridges over the weekend 13 - 14 September as it's the Mayor's Thames Festival.

There are family events such as a Movie Tent and the chance for kids to try their hand at being reporter or camera person for Childrens BBC. There's music for all tastes with jazz, rock, a kids choir and tango displays. The Korean Moon Festival coincides with the Mayor's Thames Festival this year. The weekend will finish with a Night Carnival on Sunday 14 September from 18:00 - 21:30 followed by a a firework display.
It'll be a good opportunity for the new Mayor of London, Boris Johston, known as Bo-Jo, to strut his stuff.
