© Lars PlougmannIt has been said time and again and men and women are made up differently. Even when traveling, men and women are susceptible to different illnesses.
Such were the findings of a study by the University of Zurich.
Women when traveling are susceptible to the following:
- stomach problems
- colds
- urinary tract infections
- adverse reactions to meds
On the other hand, men are more likely to suffer:
- fevers from infections transmitted by mosquitoes and ticks
- mountain sickness
- frostbite
- STDs
It certainly helps knowing what to bring and what to avoid when traveling.
