Excuse this post. It's only partly travel related but, I just can't let this news (okay, okay, more like gossip) about Ralph Fiennes go past without saying anything.
Apparently, Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN) is suspending Lisa Robertson, a flight attendant, for joining the very exclusive mile-high-club with actor Ralph Fiennes during the 24 January flight from Darwin to Mumbai.
According to Lisa Robertson, it's not what it seemed: "While conversing with Mr. Fiennes during my break, I expressed a need to go to the toilet. I entered it, he followed me and entered the same toilet. I explained to him that this was inappropriate and asked him to leave. Mr. Fiennes became amorous towards me and, after a short period of time, I convinced him to leave the toilet. I left a short time later. At no time did any crew member come to my assistance. At no time were any other customers aware of this incident. At no time did I put the Qantas name or reputation in jeopardy."
So how did the management of Qantas find out? Two crew members reported to a senior crew member that they saw Lisa Robertson talking to Fiennes and that they later caught them leaving the same loo.
Methinks some girls got jealous that they were not singled out for membership.
