Roadtrippin' USA
Just in time for American's busy July 4th travel weekend, MapQuest.com has launched a beta of its new multi-stop Route Builder feature. The new tool lets travellers map out their entire USA road journey, with stops along the way, from one online interface.

Route Builder lets users add up to 10 location destinations along a route. You can re-order stops by dragging and dropping and automatically recalculate driving directions, and even find gas stations, hotels, restaurants, ATMs, and other places along the way.

Americans are finally feeling the pinch at the petrol pump (although at something like £3.00 a gallon we're still laughing at cheap US petrol prices), but penny pinching Route Planner users can also optimize their route to avoid highways or toll roads.

Hey, a buck is a buck. Even if that's about 50p.
