Six Weeks Til Fat Tuesday: Are You Going to Mardi Gras?

Fat Tuesday is February 24th this year. So you've got six weeks left to prepare if you plan for be in New Orleans for the coming Madri Gras.

There will be plenty of activity in 2009. A schedule of the parades leading up to the big day is available from the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau. While six weeks might sound like a long time off, most of the Big Easy's hotel rooms will fill up for the celebrations. So you need to make reservations soon.
