Part I - Skiing in Zermatt
Part II - Skiing in Cervinia
Cervinia is on the sunny Italian side of Monte Cervino otherwise known as Matterhorn, the most famous mountain in the European Alps.
Cervina's tame slopes are perfect for those who loves to cover miles on their skis or snowboards, with not much of a challenge. If you are evil knevil on skis or snowboards, you'd be better off if you go to the Swiss side.
Like Zermatt, snow conditions here are reliable and the view is fantastic.
Unlike Zermatt, though, there is not much else to do as off-slope facilties are a lot less. The aprés ski scene is so-so.
I guess, if you have been to Zermatt, it would be a great challenge to appreciate Cervinia. If your pockets aren't that deep and all you want is to cruise on well-groomed pistes then, Cervinia is for you. Otherwise, head elsewhere.
