Taipei Culinary Exhibition, Taiwan 15th-18th August 2008

The 19th Taipei Culinary Exhibition takes place in Taiwan between 15th-18th August 2008. Taiwan is reputed to be the home of the best Chinese cuisine to be found anywhere. The exhibition is a showcase for all types of Chinese cooking in addition to local specialities such as from the Alishan mountain region. There will be cooking demonstrations by top chefs as well as cooking classes. You'll be able to buy tasty bites at the Snack Street zone and find out about rural cuisine and culture at the Recreation Farm

Taiwan is trying to attract more visitors from the UK with the launch of a £250,00 advertising campaign with adverts on London taxis, the London Underground and in travel magazine. I'm sure it must be a fascinating island to visit during a journey around China.
