Some call it tacky. Others say it's clichéd. Whatever.
Listed as one of the top 10 quirkiest hotels in the world by Trip Advisor, the Imperial Boat House in Koh Samui, Thailand is (imho) still an interesting place to stay at when in Thailand. The reviews on Trip Advisor alone should give you an idea how guests loved this unique hotel.
"Set on beautiful and unspoiled beach of Choeng Mon on the northeast coast of Koh Samui, The Imperial Boat House Hotel comprises 34 authentic teakwood rice barges converted into international standard luxury suites,as well as eight low-rise accommodation wings. The hotel is just four kilometers from the island's international airport"
Only a few minutes to Chaweng beach
