The Lodge at Vail
Filed in archive Destination: US on October 24, 2006
Have you been heading towards the Alps every winter to get some snow action? Need a change in scenery? Why not go somewhere different but where the skiing experience will be as exhilirating as back in Europe?
Why not go to Vail, Colorado.
Vail is America's largest and most famous single-mountain ski resort. It's so big that you can ski for a week without having to repeat a run. And there are trails for all levels.
To complement that great snow action, you need an equally impressive place to stay. In and around Vail are several elegant hotels. But The Lodge at Vail still outranks all of them as the best ski lodge in America.
Rather than describe its charms, I'll let the numerous accolades this lodge has received to do the talking:
- Listed as one of the 500 Greatest Hotels in the World by Travel + Leisure.
- Listed as the highest rated Ski Resort Hotel in North America by Condé Nast Traveler for 2004-2005.
- On Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List, 2004-2005
- Highest Rated Ski Resort in North America, 2004-2005 in DEPARTURES Magazine
- Designated North America's Number One Resort by SKI magazine
Check out their specials for the best deal this winter.
Get your snow action in Vail this season!

They're doing some construction close by, on the slope side of the Lodge but I think it's still ski-in ski-out there. -
