Travel Rants has won the 2008 Travolution Award for Best Consumer Blog. Travel Rants is the UK's only independent travel consumer blog. Travel Rant's editor, Darren Cronian began writing the blog in 2005 after becoming very frustrated when trying to book a holiday. He writes about a variety of issues of concern to travel consumers.
The Travolution judges commented, ""Darren Cronian has single-handedly set the benchmark to which other consumer-focussed blogs should aspire. Controversial, relevant, thorough and, perhaps most tellingly, much better than something mainstream media organisations are trying to achieve."
It's great to hear that an independent blogger can take on the bigs boys in the travel industry and come out as top blog.
