CowParade Edinburgh
CowParade, the evolving world-wide public art initative, will be grazing its way across Edinburgh this summer as a series of fibreglass cows decorated by local artists are displayed across the city.

According to the BBC, cows will be (humanely) auctioned off at the end of the exhibition, with 75% of the proceeds going to urban social and 3rd world farming charities:

"The charity event first took place in Zurich eight years ago, with the cattle modelled on real Swiss cows. Since then, more than 3,000 cows have featured in more than 30 cities all over the world."

A list of past, current and future CowParade cities can be seen on the CowParade general information site. CowParade runs in Edinburgh until 23 July. The Edinburgh CowParade website has trail maps and cow locators for download.
