Urban Tango
The other day I was checking out Mexico in Mind, a new literary travel guide from Maria Finn Dominguez over at Amazon. I've read her previous anthology, and for those of us who abhor the "go here, see this, do that" style of travel guide, seeing a country through 200 years of author impressions can be a much more stimulating and altogether more vivid way to begin planning a journey.

In any case, Maria has an author blog at the US Amazon site, where she's soliciting vistor contributions on fabulous and weird places to go dancing. For her own part she offers up the new Tango Porteño open air tango nights near the South Street Seaport in New York City.

Every Sunday from now through September, you can tango the night away on Pier 17 from 7 PM until midnight. Beginners classes are added on at 8;30 PM and best of all - the entire evening is free.
