With the increasing number of culinary tours and cooking classes, it is obvious that people DO TRAVEL FOR FOOD. Joining gourmets/epicureans are simple folks who just need a simple reason -- such as a favorite food -- to travel.
Just the other day, we wrote about places which cookie monsters out there can visit.
Today, we'll suggest lovers of Tapas to start packing and head to the Basque City of San Sebastian in Spain.
Basically, you can have a great plate of tapas anywhere in Spain BUT the best tapas is prepared by Pablo Vicari, a restaurant cook in San Sebastian. Vicari, who is actually Argentinian, was recently crowned Tapas King during a nationwide tapas contest in Spain.
So where exactly should you go to sample the Tapas King's masterpiece? Head over to Aloña-Berri at C/Bermingham, 24 20001-San Sebastian.
Of course, beyond tapas, there are other activities and sights to discover while you are in Spain. Consult this site to get an idea of what else is in store for you when you reach San Sebastian.
Have a safe trip and ¡Buen provecho!
