The eruption of the Icelandic volcano was (and still is!) a pain in the ass of travelers worldwide.
According to Aviva, travelers need not worry about such events anymore. They will provide an insurance policy for this as well. Starting this June, the company's add-on will now insure air travelers against the risk of flight cancellation due to volcanic ash or terrorism.
Travelers who are buying or renewing annual or single-trip policies from Aviva from June 1 would be able to buy additional travel cover against cancellation caused by airspace closure or by an airport or port being closed for over 24 hours from the date and time of scheduled departure.
Existing Aviva travel policyholders can opt for the add-on by calling 0800 051 3606 or visiting Aviva's website.
