San Antonio in Texas was voted the most affordable city in the US. It's not a city that I've heard much about. Honulu did well the ratings coming top in three categories, romantic getaway, best weather and active vacation.
I've only been to San Francisco. San Diego and Los Angeles. I loved San Francisco, apart from the weather, it was pretty wet and was very disappointed by San Diego apart from the weather. I wasn't keen on visiting the LA area but our sons wanted to go to the theme parks there. What's your favourite American city?

I would say it's nearly impossible to pick. As a traveler I can love a city for the time of year I visited during, the state-of-mind I visited in, etc. All things that change. Although Austin, Boulder, and Chicago (my hometown) are always high atop my list.

LaurenK, yes it is hard to choose your favourite city and I have visited so few US cities.
