What makes you read a travel blog?

I've 18 months experience writing a blog as a marketing tool for my travel business. I"ve a much tighter remit in my business blog of writing about authentic travel in Europe on a modest budget. I think part of the difficulty lies with the definition of a travel blog. Is it a travelogue a trip diary, a way for a travel business to promote itself, or a online magazine to generate income from advertisers?
Obviously a great photo of a beautiful destination is a good hook for an appealing post. If the post contains useful and interesting content with links to more information about that destination all the better. So far my post "Beautiful British Columbia" has been the most popular post I've written.
I also think readers like to keep abreast of travel related news about airlines, entertainment, hotels etc and links to travel deals and offers.
There are many great travel blogs out there so I've got some pretty stiff competition for your attention. I'd like Wandalust to become one of your favourite travel blogs but I know that you'll only do that if you get what you want from Wandalust.
I want to ask for your input and feedback. I'd love to know the sort of posts that you'd like to read in Wandalust. the topics, the writing style etc.
