Do you think this sort of product promotion would influence your decision when booking a flight? I think my decision would be based on more mundane matters like the price and the timings. than if a fictional character had supposedly used that airline. Although I have to admit that the "You only live once" campaign encouraging passengers to choose Virgin is a good pun on the "You only live twice" Bond movie.

Personally I'm likely to be guided first by price too, and certainly can't afford Virgin Upper Class. I think there are those that would though - the idea is that it's an aspirational brand, and there isn't really a figure that people (well, men) aspire to be more than James Bond...

Ian, I couldn't afford Upper Class on Virgin either, unless they'd like to offer some free flights to travel bloggers?
So you reckon that many men fantasise about being like James Bond?

I'd say some men fantasise about being like him yes, that's kind of the appeal surely? Others (like myself) may not fantasise, but know that he is supposed to be this aspirational figure, so it's no wonder so many brands (Virgin Atlantic now included) attach themselves to the franchise.
